Translation of Yemeni Nasheed: A Thousand Salawaat on the Moon of Perfection

One of my favourite ʾAnāshīd, expressing pure simple love for Allāh’s Messenger Please note that several places have the Yemeni/Poetic pronunciation. These are not errors. This poem is not strictly in classical Arabic e.g. we nāli instead of classical wa nāla.

Please also note that the audio contains Daff which my school allows.

(Chorus not repeated in interests of brevity)

O our Beloved! O our Beloved!
O Allāh send a thousand salutations on the moon of perfection.
O our Beloved who inhabited the Pure City and attained the peak of heights.
He who established hope during the night of confusion.
O our Beloved whose light blazed away the terrors of the nights.
My Master, never uttered from his desire.
O our Beloved whose word was inspiration from the August Lord.
He is the one who gifted to you his good ways during every era.
And guided people to uprightness of beauty.
Loving him is obligatory, love that is not [mere] claim.
But rather the way of following and adherence.
O visitor [to his resting place please also] do convey my greeting of Salām to the Chosen One.
